Sell Unwanted/Unused Items

OK so everyone knows about Ebay But for somethings Gumtree can be better ( Actually that’s quite strange as Gumtree is owned by Ebay )

Ok but how do you make money even if you don’t manage to sell sell the item ?
Actually you can do it, Ok you don’t make a huge amount ( £3.22 a week )

How Do I do it ?
Well that’s simple Join TopCashBack then use the Vivastreet link within TopCashBack, and place 2 Adverts a week, if your items sell that’s great if they don’t sell you still make money. OK each Advert must contain at least 50 Words and a unique photo – i.e. you can’t use stock photos week in week out, but you must expect to make a little effort for £160 a year.

The latest and possibly best Morrisons Fuel Offer

Spend £60 or more in store get a voucher for 15p yes fifteen pence per litre off fuel.

Now given I usually spend around that amount I just made sure I was over ( by a whole 31P ), as I have a long trip to make next week I fill fill my tank and save well over £8, which naturally I’ll convert to stamps and save for Christmas.

Apparently the offer runs until the 3rd March 2012 and can be redeemed until the 11th March 2012.

Obviously it’s not worthwhile if you normally spend £30-£40, but if you normally spend just under £60 and need a decent amount of fuel it’s very worthwhile.

I do of course anticipate that one or more of the other supermarkets will follow suit, if they do I’ll update on here

Daily mail Rewards

Until now you needed 7 from 8 possible numbers to be entered to gain a reward. so could get a reward every 3^ 1/2 weeks

As of 25th February ( unless you are partway to a reward) you will need to collect 6 weeks worth ( 1500 points ) for a £5 voucher, or 27  weeks (6800 points ) for a £25 voucher.

Saturday paper will be worth 100 points sunday paper 150

Now interestingly a £60 sat nav will cost 6000 points and an e_reader 8000 points, so it looks like you will be better buying goods with your points.

perhaps the more switched on people will get the e_readers etc and sell them on Amazon or EBAY to turn them into cash at a better rate than the Vouchers.

Money saving ideas for the UK

Ok so some of what I post won’t save money worldwide some will, some ideas can probably be modified to work elsewhere.

No I’m not going to tell you to collect a million vouchers to get all your shopping for free.

Ok so lets start with Christmas 2012, how can I make it cheaper.

Well let’s start with saving a little money each week, save £2 a week by Christmas you’ll have £100

If you shop in Morrisons or some other supermarkets then put that £2 into saver stamps, if you collect £97 worth they make it £100 so that’s equivalent to 3% interest – Oh no it isn’t as you have only 1/2 that amount on average saved it’s nearer 6% Try getting that on savings accounts.

I also buy my fuel from them every 500 litres gets me a £5 voucher, I use that next time I’m in store and get £5 of stamps.

I look for the £5 off when you buy £40 worth of Shopping vouchers in the papers for Morrisons and TESCOs and use them again I buy saver stamps with what I save.

Over the year on average over the last few years I’ve got 5-6 Fuel Vouchers and 6-8 £5 offs that’s £60-£70 of free stamps !

Another thing I do is to collect the Christmas receipts to get the money off the pre christmas shop, I do know people who scavenge ( womble ) the receipts but that’s not for me.

This year I’ve had 2 £5 offs already

As I read Daily Mail at the weekend I also collect the rewards numbers and have 1 £5 voucher for Morrisons already on the way, I’ll let you guess what that will be spent on. If you collect the vouchers carefully you should be able to get at least 12 £5 vouchers over the year. – That figure is now quite a lot less after the review.

I’ve had a £5 Morrisons voucher 3/3/12

So I’m up to £120 of free stamps, and by following what I do you can easily reach £90 or £100 even without buying fuel.

Tesco are Now doing a similar Offer with what they call top ups, if you have a balance of  more than £50 on October 18th October 2012 you’ll get a £3 Bonus, £100 or more will get you a £6 bonus, now as you will be saving £100 over 8 months to get £6 thats actually an interest rate of 12% over 8 months ( assuming you save regularly and evenly ), no UK Bank can compete with that.

Add in the bonus of 10 people winning £1,000 in clubcard points and that’s gotta be worth doing.

I also save my Tesco Clubcard points for an annual Christmas payout ( last year I then used then to buy quite a lot of nice wines )
